Terms of Service
Last updated: May 13, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PaperUp website and document preparation services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. PaperUp is not a law firm
PaperUp provides self-help document preparation tools. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice or representation, and using our Services does not create an attorney-client relationship. Communications with PaperUp are not protected by attorney-client privilege. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney. We can introduce you to partner law firms upon your request.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. The Services currently support breach-of-contract complaints in Florida; using PaperUp for any other purpose or jurisdiction is at your own risk.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information.
- Review the generated documents carefully before filing.
- Comply with all applicable laws, including court rules.
- Keep your account credentials confidential.
4. Fees and refunds
The standard fee for a completed complaint package is $425, charged at the time you download your final document. We offer a full refund if we are unable to generate a draft that fits your stated facts. Refund requests should be sent to support@paperup.legal.
5. Intellectual property
PaperUp and its licensors own all rights in the Services, including templates, software, and trademarks. You retain ownership of the information you provide. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the documents you generate for your own legal matter.
6. Acceptable use
You may not (a) use the Services for any unlawful purpose, (b) interfere with the operation of the Services, (c) attempt to access another user's account, or (d) reverse-engineer or resell the Services.
7. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the generated documents will be accepted by any court, achieve any particular outcome, or be free of errors. Court rules change, and you are responsible for confirming the accuracy and current applicability of your filing.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaperUp's total liability for any claim arising out of the Services will not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PaperUp harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
